PARENT PARTNERSHIP

PARENT PARTNERSHIP

At Puffin’s we work hard to ensure that we build a relationship with both the child and with parents, allowing us to work together to support the child through their learning and development and provide a diverse range of opportunities.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

We feel that good communication is key and encourage parents to feel welcome into the Pre-School at any time to discuss any issues relating to their child or the Pre-School. We will always operate an open-door policy to all parents.

KEY PERSON

Foundation for education

Each child is assigned to a key person who has a responsibility to monitor the child’s progress, maintain developmental records and plan and provide stimulating activities to encourage the child’s development. We will hold regular parent’s evenings which will give you, the parent, the chance to sit down and discuss your child and their development with their key person.

COMMUNICATION

The key to parent partnership

Keeping the parents well informed is essential for us to provide the highest quality of care possible. General notices will be displayed in the Pre-School, a weekly newsletter is distributed, and we will communicate face-to-face, via telephone and email where necessary. Parents are also invited to attend open and information evenings throughout the year, as well as arranging to come into the nursery to do activities with the children when time allows!
